SOMETHING BOUDOIR / the first collection from Something Boudoir that is inspired by the energetic excitement of cheerleading team spirit. Cheerleading squad is where the ‘IT’ girl in school wants to be, just like the newest brand in town, Something Boudoir that every lady wants to be a part of!
The Sports Day is the day that everybody is waiting for. It’s when the whole school gathers together, cheering for their team. It’s when boys are looking uber-cool when winning the race, and girls looking fabulous in cheerleading uniform. Something Boudoir grasped the excitement and joy of this time of the school year and translated them into our very first collection.
The youthful silhouettes and elements of the cheerleading ensemble morph into gleeful motifs seen in the ready-to-wear pieces. Zig zag and V-shape patterns on the cheerleader’s outfit are recreated into the form of texture on lace fabric, hemlines, and eyelet details of the mini-dress, playsuit, and lightweight separates. Pleating techniques such as box pleat and accordion pleat are common, while colour striping, side-slit and fringe details around the hem adds extra fun to the collection.
Flamboyantly reinforce the theme are the collection’s signature prints. These include ‘Pom Poms’, ‘Popping Corn’, and ‘Starburst’, featured in various mind-blowing colour ways. Animated shades of Cheer-up Blue, Candy Pink, and Minty Green, together with the key items, including preppy dress, cropped top and miniskirt manifest the mood and tone of the collection that will surely make girl’s heart gone wild. Pair them with the accessories and jewelleries available in our stores to create a perfect outfit for this season.
